

Solar Eclipse Raku
Early Monday, 8/21/17 it occurred to me I should do a raku fire during the eclipse. I had 2 plates and 2 bowls that were unglazed. Let's do it! It was raining most of the morning but let up and we fired up the kiln.We lifted the kiln right around 1:01 PM, Solar eclipse time Sioux Falls, SD. Art Fair this weekend
I will have a booth this weekend at Yankton Riverboat Days and Art Fair. It will be the first of 3 weekends in a row. I am ready. Looks like the weather will be nice. We are staying with long time friends of Jim's.


Raku is going well.
Crackle Jar for Linda, World on a Vessel, Tree od Life, Copper Vase Jim and I have been squeezing in some raku fires in between our travels and out of town obligations. I have been watching some youtube videos to see what other ceramic artists are doing. Some very informative videos.
