

Last Days of Long Term
This is the last week of my Long Term substitute teacher job for a local Art teacher. It has gone by fast. I thought 7 weeks would drag on, but not at all. I really enjoyed teaching grade school art. I surprised myself. I felt a little guilty about the first class getting a new project. They were kind of the guinea pigs for skill level. Well stymy me no more! One of the few road blocks for a great booth, table covers. This has had me vexed for a very long time! Last night I finally solved the dilemma of what to do. I sewed up the edges in a fold and used one single sheet. Other than ironing they are done! It may be difficult to relate but for me it was an Alleluia moment. Many hours web searching for a solution, a safety pin fix at the last sale and an ah ha moment yesterday helped it come together.


International Female Ride Day, May 6
Took my first solo ride the first weekend in May. It was an experience to remember. I put 736 miles on my bike. 566 of them were on Saturday. I met up with 20 other women at the Faribault H-D shop. We rode from there to a steak house in WI. It was a ride to remember. I rode with women who had 20 to 30 years riding experience. I had no idea. Most of the women rode the newer bike with a faring.
