Getting Ready for Spring in the Studio
This is the time of year pots are coming out of the kiln and getting ready for Carla's Flower Farm. Spring is upon us and the greenhouse will soon be open. Carla and Amy have added a new edition of a potting house in addition to their superior plant sales. In order to more efficiently produce pots and trays for sale, Jim and I put together a bat system for the wheel. I've included some snap shots of pots drying and ones ready to fire.
I have also begun to create some new teapots for sale at the Falls Art Market. It is a definite compromise to split my time between subbing for SFSD and the studio. I do need to add I am grateful to all the Art Teachers who have kept me teaching a subject I love during the off season. At this stage of my life I have no desire to take my work on the road and go south for the winter.
