This has been a very busy month for the studio.

As I create work for the new season at Carla's Flower Farm and Falls Art Market, I am always on the look out for Art Shows to enter my work in.

N95 was accepted into a local jurried group show at Agustana, The Center for Western Studies in Sioux Falls.

Pandemic: The Art Of Survival show will be up in the gallery March 1st to May 28th, 2021. The show was open to work created during March 2020 to March 2021. They were not required to have a Covid theme but when I saw the call this work immediately came to mind. I created it specifically to enter into this show. I'm excited it was accepted. Early last March when things were starting to close down my brother and sister- in- law were in Florida. They wanted to come home but were concerned about traveling in their car and taking a plane due to my s-i-l health conditions. You could not buy N95 masks as they were initially only available for health care workers. I use N95 masks in my studio and sent them two. They were able to fly out before airports were shut down. I was grateful I could help them get home. At that time we had no idea what the future would hold or what would happen next.

I do not know if there will be an opening for this show. You can check with The Center for Western Studies Calendar online for an update. http://www.augie.edu/center-for-western-studies

More good news to share, I recieved an Arts South Dakota ARTIST EMERGENCY RELIEF FUND grant. I will be using it to upgrade my website and look into the possibility of space for person to person sales.

Thank you for all your support. I look forward to seeing you, if possible, this summer at Carla's Flower Farm and the Fall's Art Market.

Be warm and be well,

Jodi
